Cable Knit Sweaters Get a Fresh Twist

Thick cable-knit sweaters may call to mind blustery fishing towns, coarse sheep’s wool and Irish folklore — but this season, several designers have put a fresh spin on the age-old style. The Japanese label Sacai also explored the pattern, segmenting cable knit patches together to create contrast. For more modern takes on the style — including gleaming Lurex and soft cashmere — here are six others you can buy now.
